abstract

in this study, we tried to examine the effectivences of advance organizer on boy students of high school 2nd grade in this experimental research design. our sample consisted of 184 second-grade high school students, including a control group and an expenimemal one, who were selected by using cluster sampling & randam mathing methods. a5.a pretest. a twenty-item test of geography, each of which composes of four options, was administered on both groups. before teaching the ruin context of the lesson the teacher offered advance organizer only to the experimental group. then the performance of both groups was compared with each other using the results of a post test. results showed that there was a significant difference between the two groups in their learning and this supported our hypothesis that advance organizer has a positive effect on learning
